Stress-free mornings with kids is a concept that I was pretty foreign too about a month ago! Mornings have not been my favorite since our third child arrived on the scene. I never drank coffee before our son came but now its a staple in my morning I refuse to give up.
Did you ever want to change something in your life but didn’t know how or did but didn’t have the time to come up with the materials yourself? That was exactly me! I knew I wanted my mornings with the kids to be more efficient and relaxed but didn’t know where to start.
I heard about a company called Easy Daysies three years ago when I attended a Leading Moms conference. Elaine, the owner, was one of the speakers that morning and I loved every word she spoke. With such a heart of gold and a passion to see lives changed through her product, I knew that I would love to work with her one day.
She recently asked me to be one of her Mombassadors and I could not be more honored! You all know how much I take the time to know the companies I work with. Being a mom of four, homeschooling and doing this little ole blog on this side means I pick my partnerships with extreme intent.
VISUAL AND ENGAGING RESPONSIBILITIES
For me, I have always worked more efficient when I make lists. I have found that my children do as well through this system. After we hung up each child’s Easy Daysies board the kids were thrilled to get involved.
My youngest son who is five years old was the most excited. I could tell that he felt proud to see his day and when finished his tasks moving the magnet tiles over gave him something tangible in his accomplishment.
The baby years are hard! Am I right parents?! Now that most of my children are in the stages of learning more responsibility life has become a little less hard. Even more so now with these magnet Easy Daysies charts. Each child knows what they need to accomplish by the end of the day. They can visually see what they are personally responsible for in their own day.
With a little reminder for them to check their board in the morning, they are off and running. While my husband cooks breakfast and I’m sipping my coffee or visa vera all the older kids are busy preparing for their day.
There’s no more nagging or kids whining about food. A good flow has started to settle in. We are usually out the door on time now as well.
PERFECT FOR HOMESCHOOLING
Easy Daysies also has products for teachers. Since I homeschool I started implementing using the magnet system as well. It helps me to pre-prepare my days the night before. Since we aren’t a typical classroom using the blank ones have been great!
THE IMPORTANCE OF PREDICTABILITY
I have always truly believed that when children have a structure in their lives they thrive. Easy Daysies brings a fun, natural structure to your home that leaves children feeling independent, safe and thriving at the end of the day.
Predictability also helps ease anxiety. It is pretty unbelievable how many children are suffering from anxiety in this generation. Having a system like these Easy Daysies magnet boards gives the child a sense of security and safety. They can see exactly what will be happening in the day.
FOR ADULTS TOO
Recently Elaine created a board for adults that struggle with memory loss. We personally have a family member who is living with this. It brought tears to my eyes when one of these boards were included in my welcome package.
Her caregiver set it up for her and explained how it worked. It took her a little while to start getting the hang of it but when she did he noticed that she was completing tasks that she would normally forget about in her day. It also seemed to give her some of her independence back as well!
We love Easy Daysies so much that we jumped on the chance to give one away to one lucky reader!
