The New Year is just over a week away and I don’t know about you, but I have goals, my friends. Not goals like I want to conquer the world but I want to run my business well. I’m done with being stressed out all the time. I’m done with being a slave to my phone and not having time for my loved ones.
This means I need to up my game with the organization and purging what it not working.
I’ve been searching for some great podcasts that will help me do just that! Get your notebook ready to write these down and schedule some of these bad boys in.
1.) Jenna Kutcher
In an industry where it is becoming extremely saturated, we can get caught up in what everyone else is doing. We feel like we need to be doing what they are doing. Do…all…the….things syndrome. Guilty! Over the past six months, it has been a goal of mine to find out what I can bring to the table.
This podcast is going to give you the motivation to get some clarity before 2018 hits!
“Let go of being good and pursue greatness.”
2.) Boss Girl Creative with Taylor Bradford
Do not let the name turn you off. This is one of those “Don’t judge The Podcast From the Name.” Episode #128 Tips For Jumping Into Video is one you are going to want to listen to.
Video is gaining mega traction and I’m almost positive it will be bigger in the coming year. Great, another thing to be “good” at right? I feel ya. The truth is people love to watch people. We are curious humans and very visual.
In this podcast, she gives you great tips on video types and even revamping some older content.
3.) Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield
Once you have been blogging for a while it is easy to get into funks and bad habits. In episode #186 How To Makeover Your Blog to Get More Traction will give you some helpful tips to do a little cleaning up of the old blog.
One thing that I would really love to work on this coming year is being consistent. I want to work on batch working. Working smarter is my #1 goal.
4.) Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield
One word, Pinterest. This a major resource that needs to be tapped. I purchased Jenna Kutcher’s Pinterest Lab about 4 months ago and I’m slowly working through it. But in episode #187 How to Use Pinterest to Generate Traffic and Profits, Jenna is a guest and breaks down a bit of what is in the online course.
If there is one tip I can pass on, Pinterest is NOT a social media platform it is a SEARCH engine. We need to be thinking that way when pinning.
5.) Finish by: Jon Acuff (audiobook/book)
Okay, so this one you will need to shell out some cash for but my husband is telling me it’s worth it.
Over the years, one thing I have found out about myself is, I have great ideas. It’s getting those ideas past a notepad and to fruition. I start but never finish. I have only done this a handful of times when it comes to ideas and personal goals I set for myself, one being named a Vancouver Top 30 Mom Blogger. Can you tell I need a little help in this department?
Jon’s book helps you to move from the start of an idea to see through to the completion of that.
I may need to sneak my husband’s tablet from him before the 1st.
Pin for later
New Year, Fresh Start!
Just over a week my friends. Get on it!
