I have many fond memories of walking to the garden as a child barefoot, hungry and armed with a salt shaker. My chubby little fingers would reach those fresh, fragrant cucumbers, pour salt all over it and sink my teeth into its salty goodness right there and then as my toes massaged the earth beneath me with delight.
Gardening has always been something that I have dreamed of getting into as an adult. However, each house that we were in never allowed the space for it. With LifeSpace Gardens space no longer needs to be an issue.
Handcrafted with coastal cedar in Vancouver, BC; these self-watering garden beds are a gardeners dream. From Condo Farms to Yard Beds and even a chance to Do it Yourself anyone can find the perfect fit for their space.
Even though we have plenty of room at our home now, we recently were set up with a 1×3 high rise box by Lexi from LifeSpace Gardens, and I think my husband may love it more than me. Not really, but he loves it a lot.
The self-watering system has been amazing and lets us be worry free about if our plants are getting enough or too much water as it has a run off to keep you from over watering. We can even get the kiddos involved to let us know when it needs more water. LifeSpace Gardens has provided us with the ultimate watering system for success.
As Lexi was setting up you could tell how passionate she is about being able to bring gardening into people’s homes. She was a wealth of knowledge and was amazing with my kids. She let them help her set everything up while I listened, asked questions and took pictures of course.

Look how rich that soil looks. They actually use leftover organic food waste from participating restaurants in Vancouver |
We have had our box for just over a month, and it has provided us with many salads and foliage to add to wraps and sandwiches even the flowers are editable. Being able to take a short little walk on our back patio with a bowl and fill it up with three types of greens has been awesome.
We went with the salad to Springtime Plant to Plate plan which included Violas, Lettuce, Spinach, and Arugula. We could now transition into the Salad to Summertime plan if we wanted to. However, our greens are doing great at the moment, and we will be planting tomatoes separately elsewhere.
I love everything about this company and how their passion for seeing people succeed in growing their own food is inspiring. The self-watering system alone is well worth the investment!

One day there will be a garden on every balcony, in every yard, on all the rooftops and in the most beautiful public spaces. Communities will come together; food and those who grow it will be elevated and valued; life will flourish, culture will grow, and nature will replenish. A Vancouver Company.

*we were provided with a 1×3 high rise box to review. All opinions are my own as we absolutely love our box and it has been extremely useful!*
Ooh I got hungry just reading this! I remember eating tomatoes from my grandma's garden like they were apples. Garden fresh is best.
