When we arrived at Tulips of the Valley, you could tell that this was going to be way more of a relaxed atmosphere. When you have three children and one newborn you don’t want to be stuck fighting crowds especially when are trying to get that perfect shot.
There were plenty around, and each one would make sure to say hi when passing by or ask if you were doing alright.
Because we went on a weekday and arrived close to closing, we did not have to fight the crowds for pictures, which I LOVED. Last year was extremely frustrating as there was NO way that you could get a shot without at least a few people being in the frame. It was also easier for the kids to enjoy it this way. They aren’t fans of huge crowds either and tend to get overwhelmed by them.
There was a good sized eating/resting shaded area if you packed a picnic or purchased something from the food truck that was there, which by the way smelled amazing!
We really did enjoy our experience and will be
returning next year for sure!
They do have some sunrise sessions available on Saturday and Sunday from 5:45-9:00am for $20 entry fee.
Come for stunning photo opportunities, grab a bite to eat and then leave home with a fresh bundle of tulips to remember the day!
