It was amazing having my sister’s family over for Spring Break. We said goodbye Monday night and it was the hardest thing ever to walk out of my mom’s place knowing I won’t be able to squeeze and cuddle my nieces for another few years, and my sisto.
1.) Hiking Together
One thing that our family loves is hiking so it was awesome to be able to experience that with the Bonners. We chose Bridal Falls in Chilliwack because of the amazing waterfall it has and it is such a super easy hike!
2.) Kids Crafting together
I’ve been saving letting my kids paint little houses to bring to RedWood Park for when my sister came. I knew Emma would love it so I held off. We had a fun morning of painting the houses together and the next day we headed to drop them off.
3.) Redwood Park/ Geocaching
Now that our houses were all dried and ready we headed to Redwood Park. We added in a little geocaching while we were there as well. It must have been one of the hardest geo’s we have come across and my baby girl, Elizabeth found it! Everyone was proud of her, and she was as well.
4.) The Beach
Tara’s husband saw the Ocean for the first time when he came to meet my sister 3 years ago. They wanted to make sure we fit it into our activities to head to White Rock and spend most of the day there. We completely lucked out on the weather (thank you Jesus!). It was a beautiful day. We tried flying a kite but failed horribly. Apprently the wind factor was too low, google told us that.
5.) A few hours in Harrison
Our family has actually never been to Harrision yet. It has always been on our to-do list but we just have not made it a priority at all. This summer we will definately be coming back! We hit up the public swimming. It was hot but such a fun time for all of us!
6.) Quality Time
Although it seems like we went out a lot, there were many days we just stayed in and spent time together. Cooking, taking care of each other’s kiddos and having a games night or a family walk. We also had an amazing time getting full family pictures together (which I’ll share at a different time). It went by way to fast! Praying that one day God will bring us closer together in the future! Till next time Bonners!
