The love and encouragement that has been outpouring has been overwhelming once again. I feel like such a broken record lately but I just want everyone to know how grateful I am. No comment has gone unnoticed, no meal untouchedl none!
Today while I was away at my daughter’s first field trip, unbeknownst to me my community, my family rather, headed to their local libraries and posted up a reminder, snapped a picture and posted it to my wall. I was out of data but had to turn it on quickly to get directions home and almost burst into tears! Happy tears this time and I loved going through all the pictures and comments when I got home.
This is the love that everyone needs. This is Jesus’s love shining through! This is the true example of the love of Christ and what He truly offers. Not some bogus documentary interviewing the crazy ones, the ones full of hate and judgement. I am so sorry if that is all you have ever experienced when you have come across those that claim to know Christ. But this, this is the real thing.
There are so many people out there suffering through their battles each day, alone. I love that since that day I have come across many posts on kindness, like this one from the blog, Cheerio Diaries. A situation that could have gone the way mine did but did not because someone was willing to choose to be kind and help and it changed the course of this mamas day, for the better!
Lord stir us up and may we have more compassion, kindness and love towards each other. Not just for us moms out there that are struggling just to take out some library books, pick up groceries or a gift for a loved one but ALL PEOPLE! ALL. Even if and when they are rude. They just could be the one that needs it the most.
This whole experience has even helped me to remember to be patient. Patient with that elderly lady taking a little too long to cross the isle, or that person that has no idea which salad dressing that they want. Even today when I driving in Vancouver and a time or two at the Space Centre I had to stop and remember to chill out and have patience.
Look at these beautiful ladies! Thank you! I’m loving the hashtags! #shannonssquad #kindnessalways
So when you are out this weekend and especially this weekend with it being Halloween and all, have patience, be kind and lend a helping hand if you see a need and if you see this poster up at your local library feel free to snap a picture and use either both or just the #kindnessalways hashtag! Let’s get this kindness movement, moving!
