I have had a very busy but blessed week. For most, you know that what my heart aches for is community and fellowship and that was exactly what my weekend/week has looked like. I don’t have pictures for most things this week but here we go….
1.) Small Group
I have been apart of our small group for about 2 years now. We had a Saturday brunch with all the kiddos and a little time of worship. Our kids really enjoyed being apart of everything. I just think it so cool when our kids can interact with friends and family on a regular basis. You know the saying, it takes a village to raise a family, that is what it felt like on Saturday. Looking forward to more!
2.) Pot Lucks
I put it out there a little while ago that our family would love to try and make the last Sunday of each month a pot luck at our place. Something that is really casual, come and go as you please just bring a dish, with food on it. My hope is to end the night with worship in the ones to follow. We only had one family and my aunt and uncle join but it was perfect. It was a family I haven’t had a chance to connect with much yet and it was a blessing getting to know her, her husband and their two little ones along with connecting with my aunt and uncle that I haven’t in a long time.
3.) Free dress up clothes
Our children, especially Abigail, loves to dress up. Someone had donated a few dress up clothes to our church but seeing how they didn’t have use out of them my husband was able to bring them home.
4.) A great family session
I have really backed off on my photography this past year. Although I LOVE it, after we lost our baby it was something that I felt I needed to do. I sure have missed it though! I did a session with this family last year before their baby was born and they wanted some updated ones now since he has been born. I think we rescheduled at least 3 or 4 times and I was sooo happy with the day we did end up doing it on. I always get a little disappointed when I need to reschedule but I always have and always will give my photography business to the Lord and trust that He knows the perfect day and the perfect clients to bring my way. As I was looking at the photos all I could think of was how beautiful these two parents looked surrounded by such precious ones!
5.) Babies being born and babies on the way
A friend of mine welcomed their first baby girl on Saturday morning. We were actually supposed to do her maternity session that day! She had texted me the night before saying she wasn’t feeling so great and getting a few contractions and didn’t think she would be able to go ahead with the session. Turned out she was in labor! I get to meet this precious baby this coming weekend to do her newborn photos. I can. not. wait. I also have my sister and another friend due very soon. AND another friend who just announced they are expecting! HOLLA BABIES! Brings me sooo much joy.
Blessings friends. Would love to hear what you are thankful for or things you are looking forward to.
Happy Friday eve y’all!
