I’m going to try and throw this one together tonight as I just got back from a 4 day camping trip with my family. It was awesome! Besides having my 4 year old poop her pants about twice a day it was truly spectacular!
If you know me you most likely have heard me talk about a program called Kaleo. It is a 8 month first year bible college program. Half of it is biblical studies and the other half is adventure leadership building skills. This program literally changed my life. It gave me the solid foundation of my faith that I so desperately needed at the time. I met amazing people there that I did life with for 8 months and are my family no matter where life takes us or shall I say has taken us since.
2.) This girl
Malayne is one of those amazing people I was just talking about. Her wedding is in 2 days and it has been a gong show trying to find a way to attend it. She lives in Fort Saskatchewan and originally my husband and I were going to go. Now he can not take it off of work and after trying about 3 different ways I HAVE FOUND A WAY!! I will be leaving at 4am Friday morning so please keep my in your prayers for safe travels!
3, 4 & 5.) Camping!!!
I honestly had such an amazing time. We have been living in a
really stressful environment this past year and it was soooooooo amazing
not to have to worry to suppress my children.
we attempted Geo’ing but failed as the kids were just too tired!
They ran, they jumped,
they sang, they had tantrums, they stayed up late and slept in. The
weather was perfect as well!
That’s Jon and the kids in the boat
She LOVED the water!
It only rained one night and not bad at
all. I think it was a blessing in disguise to keep the fire ban at bay
till we left 😉 We were at Golden Ears for 4 nights at the same camp
site as last year, B7. Such a perfect site for little ones. We are right
by the washrooms, not too far from the lake and a huge natural
playground right behind the site.
We are going to be making this our
regular camping trip every year at the same location. We have a
tradition we do before we leave each year by leaving something behind.
We found one thing from last year in a different spot but it was cool
finding it and Abigail remembered!
Elizabeth didn’t like the water so much so stayed with Dave and I on the shore most of the time.
I felt great! Loved my new bathing suite!
Some people saw us trying to take a selfie so volunteered to take our picture! Abby hates smiling for others :s lol
this photo is completely overexposed but I love it!
Have a great weekend! I’m off to Edmonton at 4am!!
